City of Hemet Park System

When a group of 25 or more people wish to use one of the parks for a picnic, wedding, party, reunion, etc., a Park Use Request should be filled out and brought to the City of Hemet offices. The City maintains a calendar for the park usages at the parks listed below. If time allows, the requests are placed on the Park Commission agenda for approval. The Park Commission meets the last Monday of every month in the City Council Chambers.

The City Hall address is 445 East Florida Avenue (at the corner of Buena Vista St.). To check on the Park calendar, call (909) 765-2360.

All developed parks are open daily between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. Simpson Park is open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Summer and 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Winter.

Organized recreational activities such as softball, tennis tournaments etc., are provided to the community by the Valley-Wide Recreation and Park District which is a separate entity from the City. Their offices are located at 901 West Esplanade Avenue in the City of San Jacinto, telephone number 654-1505.
